  • The Bilingual Program serves 5.3% of the student population.
  • A Writing Lab was implemented to give students in grade 4 an additional 45 minutes of writing instruction weekly.
  • A school-wide Tutorial Program serves students in grades K-5 who are identified as "at-risk" of failing.

  • A Science Lab was implemented to give students in grades K-5 an opportunity to do actual lab experiments.

A.A. Milne is host to several community improvement programs which focus on character building through community projects, inspirational speakers and incentive programs. The staff has seen dramatic results in students that were seemingly unreachable.

  • The DARE Program for fifth graders is a drug prevention program that teaches at-risk students that they have choices.
  • Milne Elementary has adopted the Creekbend Gardens Retirement Center as a simulation of the importance of community outreach and civic contributions.

A.A. Milne is devoted to high academic standards within a warm nurturing environment through cooperative efforts of the parents, students, community, volunteers, faculty and staff.
